14/09/2006   BRUNY ISLAND

Leaving Hobart  at 8am we travel down to Kettering stopping at the ferry terminal to catch the 9.30am ferry. 

Upon arrival we will stop for morning tea before continuing to the Mavista Nature Walk. This is a lovely easy 30 minute return walk or you can simply relax and take in the view. 

We then head to the Bruny Island Hotel where we will enjoy lunch. 

After lunch we will travel to Hiba Fudge Factory, here you will have a chance to taste there delicious fudge and purchase some for later.   

We will then make our way back to the ferry arriving in Hobart by 5.30pm.

Cost $42.00 per person (coach hire, morning tea, lunch and tours). Pick-up 8.00am, Return 5.30pm.

     
18-20/10/2006   3 DAY WEST COAST TOUR

Day 1 :: 18th October 2006

Depart Hobart and travel to Hamilton where we will have a comfort stop & morning tea, then on to Derwent Bridge via the old Oysterly road (the original highway) stopping at ‘The Wall in the Wilderness’, to view the carved timber panels. The panels are a work in progress, carving the history of the Central Highlands. 

We will then stop at the Hungry Wombat at Derwent Bridge for Lunch.

After lunch we head for Nelson Falls for a short walk then onto the old town of Gormanston to reflect on what used to be.

Our last stop for the day is Queenstown where you can unwind and enjoy dinner at the lovely Silver Hills Motel.

Day 2 :: 19th October 2006

After breakfast its time to hop on the train as we enjoy 34km of rainforest, rivers and travel over 39 bridges on the newly reconstructed West Coast Wilderness ABT Railway. 

A picnic lunch will be enjoyed on the train. 

At the end of your journey, there will be time in Strahan to have a look around the craft shops & village before heading to your accommodation at Strahan Village. 

There will be time for a little relax before we return to the town to watch Tasmania’s longest running play, ‘The Ship That Never Was’, this play is great fun and should not be missed. 

After the play we will return to your accommodation for a lovely buffet dinner.

Day 3 :: 20th October 2006

After breakfast we leave behind the quaint waterfront village of Strahan to discover the mighty Gordon River heading firstly to Hells Gates & the Great Southern Ocean.

We will visit fish farms up close, go ashore at Sarah Island & walk among the ancient forests at Heritage Landing before cruising back down the Gordon enjoying a chef prepared gourmet lunch.

After we dock, we are back on the coach as we make our return trip to Hobart arriving by approximately 7pm.

Cost: $455.00 per person twin share or double,  $78.00 Single Supplement. All inclusive.

If you love crafts then this is a day not to be missed!

Sit back and relax as we make our way to Deloraine, stopping at Campbell Town for morning tea. 

Upon arrival wander at your own leisure and enjoy the hundreds of stalls. 

Lunch can be purchased there or you can bring your own.

Today we travel to Launceston's Country Club Casino, enjoy a visit to the Evandale Market on the way.

On arrival at the Casino you receive a Fun Pack, which will provide you with loads of entertainment.

Today we travel to the beautiful Woolmer’s Estate to view the Rose Gardens in full bloom and have time to wander through the various outbuildings on the magnificent property. 

You will also enjoy a guided tour through the historic Main House before sitting down to a relaxing lunch in the restaurant. 

For all you garden lovers out there this one should not be missed!
